Happy Late Mother's Day

 May 12th.......

Well happy mothers day everyone, just to start off, i will say that I am happy, because my pensionista´s new ringtone is Its my Life by bon Jovi, yeah it is awesome, and also in case anyone was wondering...the BYU TV channel is here if they have cable.

To explain a little bit more about Gocta, 22 of us got in a 20 person small bus and went 3 hours up in the mountains, then we got out and hiked for another 2 hours in pure mud! to get to the bottom of the waterfall and then we ust got soaked!!! the mist was so powerful, that we were walking in mist for about 10 minutes before we got to the waterfall. When we actually got to the fall the water felt like little ice pelets hitting me in every direction, it was terribly awesome, Then it rained for the whole trip back, which was another 5 hours...it felt so good to be cold again!!

So i still dont have much time but...Happy May!!

Well Here are some fotos that I promised...
1. This city is my city!! this is a little bit more of Jaen and still missing some more.
2. me as close to the base of Gocta without being wet
3. a little edit.

Hey Hey Hey

May 5th--

Well, sorry that I couldnt write last week. I got stuck in an area that had terrible internet services, and I was only able to do the very little. Also Today I went to a place called Gocta (which is 3 horas away from here) so I am writing lateand I still dont have much time :) However just know that Gocta was awesome! for the first time in a year I was cold! actually I was freezing! Gocta is supposively the 3rd largest waterfall in the world. I can tell you more, but you could probably just google it. Needless to say I am soaked, tired, and I dont have my notes so I dont remember what to say to you guys.

So this past week came the president again and talked to us and bought us some nice food. it was pretty fun. This was probably the last time that I saw the president since he goes home in under a month. Unless we have a little party and we all go to Chiclayo to see him again.

As far as a question I recieved. What do people grow here? well if you cant tell by how much I am eating it...they do grow rice!! Right where I am at now they grow a lot of coffee beans, yeah I little hard to teach the word of wisdom. However in other areas of Perú they grow a lot of beans and fruits, something called kana, which is used for sugar.

As for a spiritual experience and something new that I did. We had an investigador of ours die this past week. She had cancer and we have known ever since I got here that she was going to die. But we got some special permission to go and participate in her funeral. It was a very new and different experience for me. but yeah that was fun!

Well I dont have hardly anything with me, so I cant send a picture or two, nor can I tell more, but things here are really good, start to think of questions for sunday and Happy early Mothers Day. Next week I will send a photo or talk more about Gocta. It was sweet though.

Dell

April 21st-

Yep I am on a dell right now.

Well Last monday I realized just how fat I have gotten...I have finally broken a chair for once in my life!!! YES!!! We were playing monopoly for p-day, and it broke when I sat on it...it was already half broken though. The temperature here is starting to get worse, there is not so much rain anymore, but it is still getting hotter, and now dryer...except my shirts might be getting a little wetter, if you know what I mean, jajaja.

This whole past week has been a little crazy, they celebrate easter from thursday until sunday. But when I say celebrate, i really just mean that they drink bear all the time. But it was nice for a little bit, there wasnt very much people in the streets until nighttime, but it was still all good. Overall it was really good.

Yesterday for easter, I had to speak in church with my companion and another sister misionary. But we talked about the book of mormon, missionary work, and the importance of assiting church every week...yeah...happy easter!!

As for a good experience that I had, Saturday we baptised a woman who has been investigading the church for 17 years and has been going to church for two years, It was really good to see it all happy and excited. Also her daughters also who have been members for the 17 years.

Well I dont have more time to send some pictures so...next time.

Hold Your Horses Now

April 14th-

Well I dont really have anything to say to you guys today nor much time to write. Everything is has been pretty much the same, Eating rice all day everyday, sweating and enjoying the sun roasting my marshmellows!! Whileing teaching people.

We were going to have a baptism this past week for the first time in a long time, but she was working on building a fence around her house, and broke or did somehting to her spine, needless to say. The baptism will have to wait. I hope that you all have a good easter week and enjoy 4/20! :) Next time hopefully I will have more.

Who Is Your Hero?

 April 7th-
Well here I am for another week. Not going to lie it feels like I come to this internet cafe everyday to write you guys now. Tomorrow is another transfer niether me or my comp has a change so we will be together a little longer. But I did just barely say goodbye to my friend Elder Pugliano who we had the same writing class, he does have a transfer.

Conference was pretty sweet!! It is a little wierd, after talking about profets and apostles more than twice a day everyday. You get a little excited for conference. Me and elder quispe were exciting We pretty much did nother friday until last night. We had all 5 wards close to Jaèn come to the stake center to watch it together, there still wasnt that much people there but hey it is their salvation not mine! I was even more exciting because I was able to get to watch it is english! There are so much of us northamericans here, so we went into a different room and watched it. (SEE FOTO) Conference was also cool because I saw Jeremiah Hoehne and Cody Whitlock in the Choir Saturday Afternoon. My favorite was definetly the priesthood one. But when holland talked about the priesthood...that was definetly the most power moment!

Foto!
We stole a bench from the chapel and went in this room, and Heck yes we had the girls sit in the back on hard chairs..thats whats up! Also you might notice elder Jarman and Henry who were in my district from the CCM in lima. The one next to me is elder Greene, who lost more than 100 pounds during the mission and is the zone leader. and Elder Pugliano is the other one who gained the 100 pounds during the mission. There are still 5 other northamericans in this zone, and 4 more are coming tomorrow night. White Power!
