Litlte Lion Man

March 16th--

Howdy ya´ll, this week has been a little normal, Since they are tearing up all the streets there is even more dust, but yeah I am use to it now. As for something cool that happened this week, is that we were able to see the old president of Peru. People are starting to advertise the people who are running for president, the old president is running again. For some reason he came to pomalca to say to all the people for try to get there votes, so I think I got on the TV...it was cool, but I didnt have my camara...Sorry dont have more time...Have a good week!

Front Porch Looking In

March 9th---

Howdy again. Time really does just keep flying by. 18 months ago I left my house to come down here in Peru. and Today I just said goodbye (because she finish here mission) to one of the sister missionaries of who I came here with. It is also weird just thinking that my sister is also going to be home in a couple of days. Just thinking about all of that stuff just makes me realize that I have 6 months left, but those 6 months will go by really quick!

Here was a tipical week here. Nothing but sun and heat. As far as some good news, they are finally putting some pavement down in this city. All of the streets are turn up and have holes in the streets, but in a couple of weeks, it will look and be a lot better with all of the paved streets!

Hope you all have a good week, and stay classy!

September......

March 2nd--

Howdy once again ya´ll! I am still good down here in Pomalca. As for some good news, I have talked to my pension, and she has agreed to not give me so much rice!! YES!!! She now gives me more potatoes than rice. Although since it is really hot here I mainly just drink a lot of water, and I dont eat very much anymore.

Things here are starting to get a little bit "spicy" as far as temple work. Even though I am 3 hours from Trujillo where the temple will be dedicated in June, people here are still going there to do the culture dance thing, the night before. People here have been practicing dancing ever since the start of the year, and they are really excited and hoping the the Profet will be coming to dedicate the temple. People have even been called to be missionaries (with namebadge and all) to teach and show people how to work familysearch to motivate everyone to do you family history and then go to Trujillo temple and do they ordinaces.

Well everything is still goo with me, hope you all enjoy this week, but just remember to stay happy.

Little Talks

Feb 23rd-

Howdy partner! Well another week biting the dust in Pomalca. This week, my body decided to adapt to pomalca, and with that came a little bit of sickness. I was a little sick this past week, but I am pretty much better now.

Other than that, and other cool thing that happened is that I traveled, and got to go and see a lot of little towns in this general area. Towns called, Patapo, Tumán, La Cria, and Las Delicias. I travelled to them, and relized that pomalca has the must dust! But it is also the biggest town, so I am happy.

The ward that I am in now is pretty cool, we have activities every thursday and the members help us out a lot. It is also the ward that has the most members that go to church. Overall things are good, but I wish you all a happy 1 day of march.

Young Volcanos

Feb 16th--

Happy, late valentines day to you all. This holiday they actually do celebrate this holiday down here, but they didnt really do anything, as far as I saw. Our ward mission leader (who is single) decided to take us out to eat since all three of us are single, but it was still a little weird.

Things here are good, my area is called "Polvomarca" because there is a lot of dust! There is about only 1 street that is actually paved, the rest are just dirt roads. So everything is covered in dust, and my eyes are slowing changing colors from blue, to brown. jaja not really.

This week was so hot, that we couldnt even sleep during the night, it didnt really help that have way through Tuesday night, our fan that we had broke. But thankfully we got a new fan today, so now our room, is  little bit colder.

Well, I hope that you all had a good valentines day (or day of the friendship and charity) and make this week a good week.

Red Dirt Road

February 9th--

Buenas tardes a cada uno de ustedes. How art thou? Things down here for me are all good. With it being hot I got my hair cut pretty short, so it seems like I am bald...again. But things are good, my companion is trying to learn english,(he already nows english he just wants to practice) so we pretty much just spend the whole time speaking english to each other.

Last week we did have a multi zone meeting, so I was able to go to Chiclayo again, and it wsa really nice because I got to see all of my friends that I have not seen during the 6 months I was in Cajamarca. The meeting was really cool, and fun, but my favorite part was eating the big hamburger from Chilis, which was the first time I have ever had chilis. It was cool eating an american  burger again.

We also had an activity for the ward last week, which was a dessert party! I was so stoked to go and eat a ton of different desserts and just be in heaven for ilke an hour. But like always...it started late. So right when it started, we left because we had to be in our room. But 1 member was kind enough to save a spoon of jello that she gave to me. I just didnt get to try the other 15 desserts that were there. But other than that things are good with me down in Polvomarca. Hasta la otra semana.

Clarity

Feb 2nd....

Well here I am again sweating in the dust of Chiclayo again. My new area is actually not in Chiclayo, I am in a little town again that is about 20 minutes from Chiclayo. So I still have not had an area in the actual chiclayo. My new area is called Pomalca, or as we misionaries call it "polvomarca". I am here with my new companion called Elder Brunis, who is a little guy from Ecuador. So I am now with my 10th companion from 6 different countries...pretty cool.

I am still trying to adapt to the weather and sun and dust of chiclayo again, and it doesnt really help that we are in the middle of summer now. But yes I am missing the cold and rain alot. The lord did bless me though. Saturday night for some reason it rained...for the first time in a long time here. It made me really happy then really sad.

Things are still really good for me, and tomorrow I will be going to chiclayo to have a multizone meeting. so I guess that is all for me...Questions?
