Radioactive

The ocean here in pacasmayo. supposedly one of the most famous beaches to surf.
August 17th-

Well, this has been a good week full of work. We just worked all week nothing to special. Things are starting to get a little weird. Members are now talking a lot about how I am going home in a couple of weeks, it seems like they are more excited for me to go home than i am. It is just sad how the time is coming down to be pretty short.

Something that will be happening this week, is that president Marler and his wife are going to come up here again this weeek, and we are going to have interviews. oh snap. They are interviewing the whole zone, and then we are going to have a district conference on Sunday, so things should be a little bit more fun and interesting this week. But until next week, i will talk to you guys later.

On My Way

August 10th--

Well, This week was not as adventureous as last week. The only thing that was interesting, is that president Marler came up here yesterday to give a training to the branch and district lideres here in Guadalupe. It was pretty fun and cool. I was able to go on splits with one of the asistents, whose name is Elder Bond. IT was pretty cool also, we just kept telling everyone that he is agent 008 with a secret mission to call everyone to repentance.

Elder Coca my companion is a great missionary. he is working really hard here in this area. He is a good missionary. It is funny, because he still gets lost a little bit,

Sadly I have been doing paper work that i have to get done enable for me to get home, so i dont really hvae time to write, but I wish you all a great and happy week. Just keep swimming.

August 3rd-
Well happy august. I am here in winter now, but it is still hot during the day, just cold at night time. However this week was nice, I was able to recieve my new companion tuesday, but sadly Elder Henry took our house keys with him to his new area. So sadly Elder Coca and I were locked out of our house until 10pm that night when we finally got the keys back. But on thursday we went down again for our leadership training meeting, and on Friday I was able to go to the temple again. Sadly we can only go once every 3 months, or when ever we want to take a recient convert to the temple, which isnt very often. But I was able to see my old companion at the temple, so we talked and laughed a little bit there and thought of some good times. Also on thursday we played soccer...pic, I think I kicked it out, but I started to complain..
But anywho is was pretty much a vacation this week. But sadly I am out of time, so I will have to write more next time...Questions?

Turbulance

July 27th-

Well we have had yet another week, But it was the last week of this change. So Tomorrow is yet another transfer meeting with changes, and it will be my last one. However Elder Henry is the one that is going to go changed. I will be staying here in Guadalupe and I will most likely finish here. This mission does these a little different, they actually anounced where Elder Henry is going and who is the new companion. So  he is going to an area that is actually right next to our zone. Also they told me who my last companion is going to be. He is called Elder Coca from Argentina, but since I dont really know him, that is all the information that I have about him. So tomorrow we will going to Trujillo to have the last transfer meeting, of my mission. A little weird to think about but it is true. Also after 3 months, my time with Elder Henry has come to an end. Yesterday we were talking a little bit, and we just realized that we only have 6 more weeks and then we are done with the mission. Time is gone by so quick.

So even though we changed missiones we still keep a lot of rules that was in the last mission. I still live in the same place, and I still have someone cooking for me (this is actually in all the peruvian missiones). There are only a little bit of changes that are in the mission. As far as how we do district meetings, at what time we eat, etc.

But sorrry this computer doesnt read my memory card either so, I will have to try to send pictures next week. Have a good week.

Un Muñeco de Nieve!

July 20th-
Well last week I was able to watch a Disney movie, and since Elder Henry and I got to chose, we chose the famous Frozen. Everyone in the zone shows up to watch it and turns out that Elder Henry and I are the only ones that havent see the video...awkward...So after watching the movie with everyone singing the songs and quoting it, I would have to say it is an alright movie. The whole zone said that I should watch it in english though.

So check that off the bucket list.

Also today was an eventful day, we were able to go to the beach that is about 1.5 hours from here. So for the first time on my mission and we went to the beach with the mission president and his wife, and a whole other zone that is next to us. It was really cool, but I felt like I was sinning while I was there. Because with President Williams, we couldnt go to the beach, so I just felt like a sinner. But I am not, and it was really fun activity. Supposively it was the beach with the longest waves in the world. But I dont know.

So check that off the bucket list.

Other than those 2 things, it was a typical week, really fun exciting missionary work. But hopefully next week I will be able to send some pictures. I wish you all a good week, and a happy 24th for those who are from Utah.

Limbo

July 13th--
Well this was another interesting week. Not as much as last week though. We did have a zone meeting on Tuesday but it was really good. Something interesting about this mission, is that we are about to meet up as a zone and have pday together. So last week I was able to play soccer with the elders. and today the whole zone is getting together, and we are going to watch a movie!! So i guess it has a little bit of benefits in this mission.

Trujillo is really huge!! It reminds me a lot of Lima. Trujillo is huge and it doesnt really surprise me that it has 2 missions, it is also a lot nicer that Chiclayo, Trujillo is pure taxis and paved roads, chiclayo, dirt and mototaxis. Also there is a big change in the presidents also. President Marler, is really calm spiritual and loving dude, President Williams is really fun and happy, and crazy! But they are both really good men. The weather here is actually starting to get cold, we are further south now so it is a little colder at night time. From 8am until 4pmish it is still really hot and we will sweat, but from 4-7pm there is a ton of wind that just makes it really cold (it really isnt that cold, I am just not use to it)! until the night time were I am actually sleeping with a blanket.

Sorry I dont have much time today, I have to go set up for the movie! :) But send me your questions and I will get them next week.

Miracles Happen

July 6th-
Well, this has been a crazy but awesome week. This week Elder Henry and I have been so busy that we have done very little prostelyting. It started out on Monday. Was the Chile vsPeru soccer game. Huge rivales, so it is like the superbowl pretty much...nobody wanted to listen to us during that time so we just got rejected. Tuesday. President Williams had to sent 10 missionaries to the Trujillo Mission. So president sent them to us on tuesday until the mission actually changed and so they could go to Trujillo on wednesday. So those 10 were with us on Tuesday. Wednesday morning we sent them to Trujillo at the crack of dawn. For us to go to district meeting had lunch, then we left to go to Trujillo. Got there at 6pm meet the President and his wife in their home, we had some nice pizza, then we talked about rules and had interviews until 11pm. Woke us bright and early to go to one of the prettiest place on earth, the Temple of Trujillo. Where we did a session all of the Zone leaders and hermana Leaders. Oh is was wonderful...that is all I can say about it.... Then in the afternoon we had our leadership training meeting. We left Trujillo got back at 9  pm. But we had 4 other missionaries with us again because there wasnt a bus for themto go back to their area yet. Friday morning we sent them back to their areas. But then we had a branch activity friday night. Saturday we actually did work like a missionary. But yesterday we had a zone meeting and a district meeting (like a stake but a district) with President Marler. Which started at 8am and went until 6:30pm. So needless to say I am very tired, but it is good.

Sorry I will give a little bit more info next week, but I ran out of time, so I will leave you hangin with that. But I wish you all a late Happy 4th of July, and I will see you guys next week.
