August 31st--Memories--Final Email From Peru

Well this week has been interesting. I went to Trujillo on wednesday to cancel my visa, which is pretty much saying, adios Peru. But it didnt really hit how close I am to going home until Friday morning when I was doing my weekly planning and my companion said "we are planning your last week of your mission" and even since then, I have caught myself saying "this will be the last time that I will do....". It is a little sad to think that this is the last time writing to you guys in a little internet cafe shop thing, with a lot of kids looking over my shoulder trying to read english, sad thinking that I am almost done eating rice everyday. and even more sad to think that I am not going to be with these people anymore. This last week, and this week right now, I have permission to call people from my old areas. These last couple of days I have been so happy to see that these people remember me, but yet to hear how happy they are, now that they have the gospel and to hear the testimony which they have now. I have been very happy but yet sad.

I am grateful for taking this decision for coming here, and i am sad to be leaving. But yet i am happy and cant wait to see all of you. I look forward to seeing you all next week. But I hope that you all have a great week.

It's the Final Countdown

August 24th--

Well this week was really fun and Interesting. On friday i had interviews, got interviewed/taught by the assistents and Hermana Marler and President Marler. Where they were great, learned a lot and got inspired. But with President marler, he also just talked to me about what my plans are for when I get home, how do I want to finish the mission, what do I want to achieve in these last couple weeks? It was really weird, he put me motivated to keep working for the next 2 weeks, but he also got me thinking a lot more about being home. jaja But he really is a great guy and helps out a lot. That same day in the night we had a meeting in the church with the District Presidency and President Marler talking about plans that we have for this upcoming month. It was also funny meeting because we were trying to have a spiritual meeting, but there was a primary activity going on in the main room, where they were blasting music and dancing. So we all were tapping our feet wanting to do a little dance while we were in a "spiritual" meeting.

But saturday and Sunday we had District conference here in Guadalupe,so we had some more great messages and teaching from Presidente Marler, sister marler, and the district leaders. It was a great meeting and the members loved it, and the president. But overall it was a great week down here in the district of guadalupe. I hope you all enjoy this last week of Agost (I dont remember how to spell that) and just a quick reminder: next week will probably be my last time writing on the internet, so if you have any last questions or anything to write ...do it by next monday, or you can wait and say it to me in person. :) But until next time

August 17th-

Well, this has been a good week full of work. We just worked all week nothing to special. Things are starting to get a little weird. Members are now talking a lot about how I am going home in a couple of weeks, it seems like they are more excited for me to go home than i am. It is just sad how the time is coming down to be pretty short.

Something that will be happening this week, is that president Marler and his wife are going to come up here again this weeek, and we are going to have interviews. oh snap. They are interviewing the whole zone, and then we are going to have a district conference on Sunday, so things should be a little bit more fun and interesting this week. But until next week, i will talk to you guys later.

On My Way

August 10th--

Well, This week was not as adventureous as last week. The only thing that was interesting, is that president Marler came up here yesterday to give a training to the branch and district lideres here in Guadalupe. It was pretty fun and cool. I was able to go on splits with one of the asistents, whose name is Elder Bond. IT was pretty cool also, we just kept telling everyone that he is agent 008 with a secret mission to call everyone to repentance.

Elder Coca my companion is a great missionary. he is working really hard here in this area. He is a good missionary. It is funny, because he still gets lost a little bit,

Sadly I have been doing paper work that i have to get done enable for me to get home, so i dont really hvae time to write, but I wish you all a great and happy week. Just keep swimming.

August 3rd-
Well happy august. I am here in winter now, but it is still hot during the day, just cold at night time. However this week was nice, I was able to recieve my new companion tuesday, but sadly Elder Henry took our house keys with him to his new area. So sadly Elder Coca and I were locked out of our house until 10pm that night when we finally got the keys back. But on thursday we went down again for our leadership training meeting, and on Friday I was able to go to the temple again. Sadly we can only go once every 3 months, or when ever we want to take a recient convert to the temple, which isnt very often. But I was able to see my old companion at the temple, so we talked and laughed a little bit there and thought of some good times. Also on thursday we played soccer...pic, I think I kicked it out, but I started to complain..
But anywho is was pretty much a vacation this week. But sadly I am out of time, so I will have to write more next time...Questions?
