So I didn´t have time last week to say very much, so first off, how about conference!?! 30,000 more missionarys in only 1 year. Strange to think that I have joined in that movement of this work. My favorite talk was definity the black guy elder Dube, and then Uchtdorf from the same session. Um, another thing of sadness was when an elder from Price Utah went home, we got along pretty good and he knew a whole bunch of my friends from Helper.
So they have decided that they are going to start teaching portuguese here in 3 months. So they have started to build another building for all of that, which sucks because they ruined the volleyball court enable for them to build. So after I got my haircut last time, the elder said that it still looked cute, so that creeped me out even more so I got my haircut even shorter. Now everyone thinks I am 24 and bald, so I don´t think that is a good thing.
Since so many people here still speak the native incan language, we have been learning a little bit of it also, not a whole ton but enough for us to laugh about it. Today I had to show a whole bunch of the newbies around town since I am considered pro and know everything (false). But I went through the whole session in spanish for the first time, and I actually understood a lot of it. Since this is the last time I will be writing, I will say some things that I haved learned while I have been here these are no order of importance. On monday I made a deal with a Latino (since we can´t have bets) that my district of gringos would beat his district of latinos in soccer (I figured why not since we haven´t lost yet) the deal was that whoever lost would give the other person a 5 minute message. You could probably tell by the picture who won.
1. Learning a whole language in 6 weeks is really hard, 2. The church needs to buy better toilet paper. 3. Being district leader sucks a little bit, but is also very fun. 4. Even though your name is Elder Ruiz and latino, doesn´t mean you now spanish. 5. The people of Perú is very short. 6. You can never get sick of rice, chicken, over crowded buses, hugs.
1. me infront of the thing
2. Massages for life
3. Me in the city of Lima
