August 11th
Well first of all...Happy 11 month mark Elder Olsen. Yep today I complete 11 months in the mission and I am officially old. However it feels like just yesterday I was just writing you guys when I was in Ferreñafe, but nope I have 11 months.
2. After a long and hard 2 months here in Jayanca working with Elder Quispe and helping out this branch that is here. I have another transfer. Tonight I am going to be preparing my bags for the early morning meeting that we have tomorrow. It came as a surprise to every one. Quispe has 6 months here and yesterday at church he was taking pictures and saying goodbye to everyone, but at 10:30 last night they called and said that I have the change. So tomorrow I am going to be in Chiclayo and then I will go to what will be my 4th area.
So some people have been telling me that they want to hear a story of people that I am visiting. So there is a family that reciently got baptised the mom and a daughter. The dad hasnt been baptised because of a major problem here in Perú...he loves to drink beer. However unlike all of the other peruvians, this guy has read all of the book of mormen, all of gospel principiols, and the book of Joseph Fielding Smith, and only since april. It is amazing to hear the testimony of the mother of the family, when she says the gospel has helped out the family so much! It has changed there family especially the dad, and they all believe that this is the true church. Anyways...cheesy stuff...
Talk to you guys next week in my new area. Questions?
Tupanchis kama wawa
Elder Olsen.
