Hold Up Wait A Minute!!!

Aug 4th--

Well hello again after another very short week. Right now here in Perú is like Christmas break, all of the kids are out of school and enjoying playing in the streets and laughing at the tall white kids walking in the streets (me). However it has been good because we have been able to find a lot more people in their houses and able to talk to them more.

Last monday was the Day of Indepence here in Perú, and to be honest I was a little disappointed. I though they were going to celebrate like the did for Christmas, with fireworks, filling dummies up with explosive and blowing them up. But no, they didnt do anything, the people just put flags out on their doors, and then got drunk.

The only other thing that was cool that past over last week was that we had our first  interviews with the new Presidente Williams. We went to Chiclayo to the mission office and chatted with him and his wife. It was really cool and fun, because with the Hermana Williams we just talked about what I like to did, what I did before the mission and my family. Then with the president, we talked about the areas that I have been in for 5 minutes and then we just argued about what is the better University in Utah. Long story short, I won again!! But he has assured me that he is going to inform me about every college game of BYU and every game that Utah losses! At first I told him not to worry about him, but then I realized that my family doesnt tell me any of that stuff, so I told him to go right ahead and do it.

As for me, it has finally gotten a little cold at the night time. So I am not sleeping with the fan on me for the first time the end of November, and I am actually sleeping with the blanket. Things are good here with me ya´ll, and I will see you next week.
